Padbol’s international growth has reached a new milestone: Italy has officially recognized its sporting status, including it in the first list of new disciplines approved under Legislative Decree 39/2021.
The decision was published by the Department for Sport of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Italy, following an assessment based on the documentation submitted and the discipline’s technical regulations.
As part of this decision, the Department for Sport ordered that the recognized disciplines be included in the Registro Nazionale delle Attività Sportive Dilettantistiche (RASD), together with their corresponding identification codes. This will allow amateur sports organizations associated with these activities to register through the relevant sports promotion bodies.
This recognition marks an important step in Padbol’s institutional development in Italy. In addition to officially confirming its sporting status, it strengthens the conditions for the organization, promotion and continued growth of the discipline within the Italian sports system.
Along this journey, Fabio Argiolas deserves special recognition. A member of the Padbol family, he has supported the development of the discipline in Italy with a deep love for the sport, commitment and dedication. He is also responsible for the International Tournament of Sardinia, one of Padbol’s most important tournaments, which has been held for several years and has become an annual meeting point for the entire community. His sustained work and close connection with those involved in the sport contribute to Padbol’s continued growth and consolidation throughout the country.
For Padbol, this achievement confirms a path of sustained expansion, driven by clubs, players, organizations and representatives working to bring the discipline to new communities around the world.
A new recognition. The same sport that continues to unite the world.
