Rumania, Padbol enthusiast 

The second edition of the Romanian Cup 2022 was another real success 

A new event of the sport that is extremely successful in Romania was held during the weekend. Padbol once again caught people’s attention and was an exclusive protagonist in Bucharest. 

Led by Elisabeta Gherghisan, the president of the Padbol Federation, together with the Ministry of Sports, this great national championship was held in the capital on the three spectacular courts of the CSN Lia Manoliu complex, where 24 teams from different cities were present. 

The qualifying matches were played on Friday 16th, while the decisive matches were held on Saturday 17th, which were live streaming in all digital platforms. 

Finally, the team from the Flux Arena Craiova sports club, Olivian Surugiu and Victoraș Popescu (unbeaten in the last three years) won the title after beating the team of Mugurel Vrabie and Gabriel Turnea from the Padbol Giurgiu club. Meanwhile, the podium was completed by Laurentiu Dinuica and Răzvan Ciobanu, also from the Flux Arena in Craiova. 

The event was full of family members, partners and the general public, and also, authorities, sponsoring companies and famous athletes were present. 

Once again the great plays, twirls and passion for the game stood out in the almost 50 games played, showing the enthusiasm that Padbol has gained in recent times, displaying a true success in these lands.
